Blue piste CaoubereThis is the large blue piste from Caoubere to Super Barèges. The piste is easy to do, although a challenge for first time skiers. |

Drag lift Caoubere (29)When leaving the six person chairlift to Caoubere you can do the red pistes Rhodos and Iris. They arrive at the drag lift, which brings you back to the same spot. Alternatively, you can follow the green piste (road) back to Tournaboup. To go to Iris, descent a bit in the direction of Super Barèges, and then take Iris at your left. This is a very nice piste, wide, and not very difficult to do. This is one of the last pistes to be groomed after snowfall, so you can find some deep snow skiing here. On the photo you see the start of the drag lift, and Rhodos. |

Off piste skiing Caoubere If you turn back (twice left) to Rhodos, and stay left (Rhodos is on the right now) you can descent a steep off piste slope next to the chairlift back to Tournaboup. The pist is steep but very broad. Please check the avalanche risk before you do this. This piste has a relatively high risk, so do not go there if the risk is 4 or higher or when it is very warm. |
