Super Barèges can be reached by car from the parking lot Tournaboup, but the road is not always open. There is a small parking lot in Super Barèges behind the restaurant. You can not buy a ski pas here. Most people use the 6 person chairlift from Tournaboup and descent to Super Barèges, rather than go by car.
The six person chairlift Tourmalet (photo's 1 and 2 left) will bring you to Col the Tourmalet. From there you can go to La Mongie.
From February onwards you will see the snow park on you left from the lift.
On the right of the chairlift you see the last part of the blue piste from the Tourmalet to Super Barèges.
This is a nice short steep slope (red). You can get there when descending the red or blue piste from the Tourmalet. Turn left on the flat area in the middle to take the green road, and on that road, turn right to the top of this slop.
At Super Barèges the "Le Bastan" restaurant is providing a self service meal. During lunch they also serve sandwiches over the counter on the outside.
This restaurant has been revised in 2004, with a nice and light place in the front of the restaurant.
On the left of the 6 person chairlift you will see the drag lift Toue. It used to be a very nice run, but it has been shortened because of avalanche danger. Unfortunately you now have to walk a bit to get to the piste. The piste itself is a nice and easy blue piste.
When coming down from Tourmalet at the left of the chair lift you see a small tunnel going underneath the road to the restaurant. If you take this tunnel, you can follow the long road down to Tournaboup.
