Map Description Blue Runs Red Runs Black Runs

At Tournaboup you can take the 4 person chairlift on the right to go to La Laquete. It is a nice area to practice on some easy blue slopes, and it has in addition some good red slopes in an open area near the forest. Because of the trees at the edge of this area, this is the place to be when visibility is low, for example when it snows. This area (together with Lienz) is also the best beginners place. In groups you can't loose each other when some take the red and others the blue pistes.

When you arrive in the area, you can go right to the restaurant, and beginners drag lift, and left to go the blue piste. There you will find the 4 person chairlift Castillon (34) and the drag lift Clairiere (35). If you follow the path through the forest near the Tournaboup chairlift, you can return back to Tournaboup.

In 2004 the area has been equipped with the new chairlift, and many snow canons, so that the snow remains on the pistes till late in the season.

Chairlift Tournaboup (41)

This chairlift brings you from Tournaboup to the middle of La Laquette. You can turn right to the restaurant and the beginners drag lifts or to the left to the broad blue piste (photo).

Chairlift Castillon (34)

This new chairlift replaced two drag lifts and means no more waiting time, even at times when everyone comes to La Laquette.

At the top you can go to the right and follow the long blue piste back to the chairlift, or go to one of the red pistes next to the chairlift. These are quite steep for red pistes, but not very difficult.

Depending on the snow conditions, the area is broad, and you can ski practically everywhere to find the slope of your liking.

Take this chairlift to go to Lienz without walking. At the top follow the blue piste Clairière. After a while at your left you will see the top of the chairlift Piquette (36) from Lienz. Turn left here. Read more about Lienz...

Construction of Castillon (34)

This photo is from November 2004, just after completion of the construction of the chairlift.
